The future president of the prestigious debating society has been removed from his position after losing a vote of confidence that followed his disputed social media posts about the conservative activist.
The vote against the student leader achieved the required super-majority to oust him from his position, according to an statement from the society.
The controversy erupted after the student reportedly shared messages on social media that seemed to celebrate the killing of Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead while addressing a university in the United States.
According to sources, one Instagram post reportedly stated "Charlie Kirk got shot loool" - using an extended form of the acronym for 'laughing out loud'.
The student leader is also said to have written in a messaging group with other members appearing to welcome the incident.
The vote of confidence was conducted over the recent days, with outcomes announced on Tuesday.
Official notices indicated that 1,228 ballots were cast supporting removal, while just over five hundred were against the motion.
The announcement confirmed that the president-elect was deemed to have stepped down in following the Oxford Union's rules.
Voting operations were informally suspended early on Monday after the election official was reportedly subjected to "obstruction, intimidation, and unwarranted hostility" from several representatives.
In a response, the student claimed that the vote tally had been halted because election administrators believed "no legitimate and true result could be reached as a result of procedural failures".
His statement unequivocally denied that any representative acting for George had participated in threatening or obstructive conduct.
The student stated that significant concerns had been submitted to the governing body and that he continued as the elected leader.
His statement added that he was "grateful and honored to have the backing of significantly more than half of students at Oxford" who voted to have a "secure voting process and oppose efforts to undermine the electoral process".
Opponents have said that any failure to remove him would "demonstrate internationally that the Oxford Union has prioritized politics over principles".
On recently, Mikey McCoy presented an public message to the society on a related program broadcast.
The message accused the union of becoming a place where "student leaders openly applaud the assassination of a ideological rival".
The statement indicated that if the student were to keep his position, Kirk's allies would "directly reach out to every American political speaker who has ever spoken at the society and urge them never again to lend their name".
The Oxford Union had earlier condemned the student's remarks after Kirk's death and confirmed that concerns filed against him had been referred for official review.
The president-elect had been one of multiple members to debate with Kirk at the union in May.
